Pantone Predictions – The 2016 Color Forecast Cheatsheat

Pantone’s history of highlighting hues that will eventually become the major color trends seen across the design industry is well-known. The Pantone Color Institute leads the way to predicting the colors that will become the favorite hues of the season and year for fashion, graphic design, and home decorating.

“As media continue to move toward more evocative, imaginative and innovative uses of color to woo consumers, unexpected color stories are emerging,” said Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute. “To capture attention and keep product lines relevant in the consumer’s eye, it’s important to understand the impact that this always-morphing innovation will have on color and design trends for 2016.”

Pantone recently announced their color predictions for the fall season and the news quickly spread across social media and the design industry. However, as the end of the year draws closer, we wonder what is coming up for the following year. Will the earthy tones stick around or will Pantone move on to a brighter palette?
